The living eggs arrived in nursery this week.
The children were very excited for the chicks to hatch and made little nests for them.
Today is red nose day and we have taken part in our 5 sponsored activities. It has been a lot of fun and thank you so much to parents and families for all of the donations.
1) i have tasted healthy fruit and yogurt. we had visitors from ASDA who brought us lots of different fruit to try and make our own flavoured yogurt! its was Delicious and everyone tried some!
2)I have taken part in a happy dancing session – we had a good dance and flippy flappers session
3)I have joined in with Mindful exercises – we did peer massages by pretending to make a pizza on each other backs!
4) I have tried to brush my teeth – After dinner we brushed our teeth, this is something we will be continuing to do.
5) I have planted a flower and i will take care of it.
Today we have had a lovely day showing our grown ups our journals and sticking pictures about what we like to do. It was lovely to see you all and the children thoroughly enjoyed having you in nursery.
This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year.
We have read “The Chinese New Year” story and acted out the animal race in our school yard. We also tried some Chinese food as a special treat on Friday and dressed in Chinese clothes when playing in the home corner.

We hope everybody had a lovely Christmas here in Wetlands class and we are all very pleased to be back. We welcome our new starters who are settling in lovely.
This week has been an exciting week exploring all about winter. We went on a winter walk to our local park and the later in the week we had an amazing surprise when the snow came while we were at nursery. We went out and explored in the nursery yard and garden. It was very cold but lots of fun!
WETLANDS class have had a lovely day at wharton park for our trip.We went on a reindeer hunt, had a special story and made some reindeer food ready for Christmas eve.
We also had a lovely run around the park! It has been lots of fun!
Wetlands class have had a exciting week this week! When we came to nursery on Monday in our pyjamas for polar express day the fairies had been and decorated our nursery!
It was a lovely day of exploring and watching the polar express film with hot chocolate and cookies! We have decorated our nursery Christmas tree too which looks beautiful.
Also this week after we had wrote our letters to Santa we had a lovely walk to concord post office where we bought a stamp and posted them off.
This week we have enjoyed Reading Sam’s snowflake and we have created some lovely artwork following the story.
The children are also getting very excited about Christmas and have been busy creating lots of pictures to decorate our nursery!

This week Wetlands class have started their winter art.
We hope to have everything completed in time for fairies night!
It has been a wonderful week in wetlands class looking at all the things Pudsey bear does and making some lovely spotty and stripey crafts ready for journal day today.
It has been lovely to see so many parent/carers attend.
After reading room on the broom this week we decided to design and make a truly magnificent broom of our own!
We also celebrated Halloween by making decorations to take home.
Thankyou wetlands class for taking part in #helloyellow day, it was a lovely day and our crafts are in the cloakroom for all to see about what make us happy!
This week we have been exploring vegetables, we had to look for them in the garden before washing, chopping and cooking them for a lovely vegetable soup!
It was delicious!
We went to the park to search for signs of autumn.
look we collected lots of autumn leaves, berries and pine cones and took them back to nursery.
Now we have autumn in nursery!
The children have been learning about all of the different areas in our nursery and have been interacting with out I.C.T equipment.
We hope everybody enjoyed bringing a library book home to read with a grown-up, every Thursday the children can access the library and choose a book so please return all books and bags before.
The wetlands am and pm class have had a lovely week at nursery. The children have really enjoyed exploring the nursery.
The Wetlands class this year welcomes both am and pm classes into the setting. The team has enjoyed getting to know the children at home visits and welcome meetings.

As part of Outdoor Activity week, we have been building dens in the nursery garden. We used boxes, sticks, blankets and natural materials. We even made mini dens for our mini me’s!
Our tadpoles have now grown into froglets, the children are becoming experts and have thoroughly enjoyed watching our frogs getting bigger.
Did you hear about the Volcano that irrupted in Hawaii? The boys and girls were very interested to find out what had happened, they made their own exploding volcano; it was very messy!
After lunch, the children have been continuing the theme The Life Cycle of a frog. They have been busy painting frogs and have learnt some faboulous songs.
Rivet, Rivet, Rivet!
This week, we having been learning about the traditional story, The Magic Porridge Pot; the children made their own potions using natural materials, they smelt lovely!
In the afternoon, we have been continuing learning about the life cycle of a frog. Our clay tadpoles love their new home in our indoor pond!
In the mornings, the Wetlands’ children have be learning all about Traditional tales; Goldilocks, The three little pigs, Billy Goats Gruff and Jack and the Beanstalk.
The boys and girls have enjoyed watching Brendan the music man retelling the stories using props and music.
After their lunch, the children have been busy learning about the life cycle of a frog.
We have built our very own pond to create a habitat for our tadpoles who are getting very big!
